About

About WiFi Lens

Who builds it, and why it stays on your Mac.

WiFi Lens is an open-source macOS network diagnostics app built by an independent developer (SHIINASAMA). It helps make your wireless environment understandable — without accounts, cloud sync, or tracking.

Open source

The full source code is published under the Apache 2.0 license. Anyone can read exactly how scanning, analysis, and the local MCP server work — no black boxes.

Private by default

The app has no backend, analytics SDKs, or telemetry. Your network data never leaves your Mac, and the AI integration only reads your local interface. Aggregate website analytics are separate from the app.

Built for macOS

WiFi Lens is a native macOS app using Apple’s CoreWLAN framework. It targets macOS 14+ on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
